Close on the heels of a 101 houseful shows in day in Faridabad, fans of MSG set another houseful record in Delhi today with 126 houseful shows in 30 Screens today. The movie is also running in the southern i.e. Tamil, Telugu and overseas circuit, while it continues to make waves for the fourth consecutive week in North India, said Ajay Dhamija, a company Spokesperson.

Tulsi-Khushali hit the high notes with Mainu Ishq Da Lagaya Rog!

The much-awaited special music video recreating the 90s iconic romantic number ‘Mainu Ishq da Lagaya Rog’ from Aamir Khan-starrer Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin is released today. Featuring the internationally acclaimed designer Khushali Kumar, the song’s new version has been sung beautifully by Khushali’s sister and voice of many Bollywood actresses Tulsi Kumar, whose romantic rendition with stylishly modern tone and texture has taken the song into a new dimension where it has evolved with a whole new face but with the same soul. Shot aesthetically with a rich backdrop, the concept has been visualized by Khushali who is also making her debut in front of the camera with this video in which the timeless classic number has been given a new twist in a modern-day fairy tale avatar.

The special music video seeped in romanticism is an ode of the siblings – Tulsi and Khushali - to their father, the music mogul Shri Gulshan Kumar, as the song happens to be one of his most favourite numbers. Team Shaandaar spills Raitaa in a unique way

The Shaandaar including Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt team presented the finale song to the audiences, 'Raitaa Phail Gaya'.

Director Vikas Bahl had conceived 2 versions of the song resulting in a dilemma faced by the makers to make a choice.

Unable to come to a conclusion, the song was launched in a unique manner whereby the audiences consisting of media personnel present at the event were to vote for their favourite version of the song.

Both the versions were showcased to the audience present and a secret ballot was conducted.

While the first version featured 'Shaalia' doing their antiques the second version had an added edge where in the entire Shaandaar clan is seen dancing and having a great time.

The audience made a unanimous decision and voted for Option 2 (the released version).

Raitaa Phail gaya's winning version features Shahid in a Punjabi attire with a Nagada in tow, a la Jab We Met style.

The peppy music infused with Bhangra beats and lyrics which are sure to stick to the mind, is sung by Amitabh Bhattacharya.

Raita Phail Gaya, the 5th song to be launched from this years much awaited film Shaandaar has already won Kudos from the audiences for its unconventional launch.

Shaandaar is all set to release on October 22nd, 2015.

But now after winning the same he is delighted because Delhi & Mumbai both the places are big cities and are full of talent. The journey was also very hard because the other contestants were also great performers and singers. He felt honored in performing in front of a star Malini Awasthi and being felicitated from her as a winner from heart of the country – New Delhi.

The singers were all judged on the basis of their choice of song, their rhythm, tunes and the overall impact that they could provide to their respective songs. The finale winner will now go on to compete against other city finalists to get to the national winner. Model turned Actor Ankitaa Srivastav makes her big Bollywood debut with Welcome Back

'UGLY' to be the opening film at 5th Jagran Film Festival

As the country’s most eagerly awaited event, the 5th Jagran Film Festival, draws closer, it has been revealed that this edition of the festival will open with the screening of ‘UGLY” as its opening film, a psychological thriller and an emotional drama film written and directed by Anurag Kashyap. It has also been announced that renowned Film makers Amol Palekar and Goutam Ghose are going to head the feature and short film juries respectively at this edition of the Jagran Film Festival.

Ugly is an emotional drama with an edgy thriller element.  An astounding tale of corruption, coldness, and violence the film opens with the kidnapping of an aspiring actor's 10-year-old daughter.  Ugly was earlier screened in the Directors' Fortnight section at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival. The film also had the privilege of opening the 2014 New York Indian Film Festival. The film stars Girish Kulkarni, Ronit Roy, Tejaswini Kolhapure, Vinit Kumar Singh, Surveen Chawla and Vipin Sharma in pivotal roles. The film marks Anurag's return as a director after Gangs of Wasseypur - Part 2. The film has officially been scheduled to release on September 19th, 2014.

The festival promises to feature an interesting lineup of movies from across the world. The festival has a competition for Indian features and International shorts. His film “Paheli” was India's official entry for Best Foreign Film at the 2006 Oscars.

Goutam Ghose started his career making documentaries in 1973. Goutam is an internationally renowned film director and cinematographer having directed around ten feature films and a number of prominent documentaries Meeting A Milestone (on Ustad Bismillah Khan), Beyond the Himalayas, Land of Sand Dunes, Ray (On Satyajit Ray), Impermanence (On HH Dalai Lama). He also made numerous AD films, corporate and other Short Films. Ghose has won 16 National Awards besides Filmfare and many International awards like Silver Balloon Award, Nantes Film Festival, UNESCO Award, Cannes Film Festival, Grand Prix - Golden Semurg at Tashkent, UNESCO Award at Venice, Fipresci Awards, Red Cross Award at Verna Film Festival. He is the only Indian to win the coveted Vittorio Di Sica Award. In July 2006, he was awarded the Knighthood of the Star of the Italian Solidarity. .

Actress Shraddha Kapoor is enjoying high time for her these days and involved in multi-tasking these days as she recently lend her voice in the background score of Balaji Motion Pictures’ Ek Villain, in which she is starring in the lead role opposite Siddarth Malhotra.

Ek Villian’s director Mohit Suri was so impressed with her voice of Shraddha Kapoor's in the trailer of Ek Villain that he decided to take Shraddha Kapoor's voice beyond the song and convinced singer-composer Raju Singh to integrate her voice in the background score of the film. Hence Shraddha Kapoor came to the recording of Ek Villain background score at Raju Singh's studio at Sangeet Bungalow, Juhu and spent some amazing moments with Raju Singh, Mohit Suri and Tanuj Garg, CEO, Balaji Motion Pictures at the recording.

“In Ek Villain, the background holds a very important part as it is the love story of a villain and one needs to keep the darkness in the romance element as well," explains Raju Singh. “Mohit has amazing music sense. And I felt this even with his first film Zeher and all his movies till date. His sensitivity towards portrayal of relationships never ceases to amaze me. Ek Villain marks the first time a mainstream actress is not only just singing a song but also lending her voice as a crucial part of the background music. Music is in Shraddha Kapoor’s veins, with her grandfather Pandrinath Kolhapure being not just a celebrated singer and a vichitra veena exponent, but the cousin of singers Lata Mangeshkar andAsha Bhosle as well. “Raju Singh has this never-say die attitude. He will work on a film to the fullest, never mind night or day. And this has always inspired me,” admits Mohit Suri. “We work on background at times all night and back again in an hour and a half. And now, I am glad Shraddha is also a part of this creative process with her soulful voice.”

Shraddha grins, “when Mohit first heard me sing, he said, hmmmm…. And that is it. I am so glad I am here.”

Incidentally, the response to the Ek Villain  trailer has been phenomenal with close to 2 million hits and  rising in just seven days. Directed by Mohit Suri, Ek Villain, a romantic thriller produced by Balaji Motion Pictures, stars Siddarth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor & Ritesh Deshmukh, and is all set for a June 27 release.

For the many uber-talented short film-makers in India, it’s time for the proverbial knock of opportunity. Manhattan Short, the international platform which showcases, celebrates and awards short films from across the world has given a call for entries. The film movement which begins now will culminate in a six-day festival across the world including Mumbai this September-October.
