Paresh Rawal performed in Delhi to support sanitation facilities for girls

Water, Sanitation and hygiene are important components for child survival and development. According to UNICEF girls are nearly twice as likely as boys to drop-out from school due to lack of basic sanitation facilities in schools. Overall health of girl chid can be improved by providing proper sanitation facilities.

Rotary Club of Delhi Nirvana a wing of the World's largest NGO Rotary International organised a fund raising event for this noble cause, a famous play 'Kishan vs Kanahiya', by renowned Bollywood actor Paresh Rawal at Siri Fort auditorium. The show was staged for the fourth time in Delhi.

Rotary Nirvana is committed to the cause of improving number of drop-out school going girls. This activity will be milestone in improving overall girl education and furthering the cause of women empowerment.

The money raised is being used for building girls-friendly toilets at schools in Delhi. This year Rotary Nirvana has also applied for a global grant for a sanitation project to build toilet blocks in girl's schools. Supporting girl education is high on the priority list of Rotary in India as it is their vision to promote humanitarian services.
