Fashion Designer Poonam Bajaj and Artist Sunayana Malhotra presents“Elements of Fashion & Art”

Fashion Designer Poonam Bajaj, a well known name in the fashion circuit unveils her new exquisitely Designed “Shades of Paradise Resort Wear” and “Kutch Fantasy Collection” together with Artist Sunayana Malhotra creating her interpretation of a woman on canvas through vibrant and abstract paintings, at the Style and Aesthetic Extravaganza “Elements of Fashion and Art” at Zerzura, Qutab Hotel.

The event hosted by Zerzura, Hotel Clarion Collections (Qutab Hotel) that witnessed the who’s who of the social circuit Ms. Shahnaz Husain; as the Guest of Honor and socialites such as Meenakshi Dutt, Poonam Sethi, Puja Taluja, Anju Kumar, Mansi, Somani, Nazia Khan, Archana among others were present at the event.  Poonam Bajaj’s exclusive collections were elegantly showcased through a fashion walk by models. The event was in association with Zerzura, situated in South Delhi’s Qutab Hotel; Shop the Ramp, online portal for designer wear, Bollywood Beauty and Make-Up Expert Puja Taluja and Elysian Hues, Fashion Consultants, Accessory Designers and Interior Stylists.

The Resort wear collection of Dresses, Gowns and Jumpsuits was an amalgamation of warm colors like golden, mustard, watermelon, fuchsia, cherry, red orange, green banana, moss stone green, blue graphite and tangerine. The collection comprised of flowy silhouettes, bead work embroidery and geometric / abstract patterns on georgette, cotton and chiffon. While the Kutch Fantasy Collection houses Ethnic women wear with mirror embroidery, zari, gota work and thread embroidery on A-line drapes and silhouettes. The collection comprised of Flared Anarkali skirts, Long Jackets, Shrugs, Angrakhas and Dhoti style lowers on georgette and silk.

According to Fashion Designer Poonam Bajaj, “Styling people with new trends in fashion, be it Playing with fabrics, designing new cuts and style has always been inspiring. There is lot to play with, in colors, textures, drapes and designs."

Sunayana Malhotra is an artist well known for painting a woman in her many avatars and in this collection of paintings she has expressed herself with vibrant colors on canvas. The coming together of fashion and art shows that both can be blended to create magic.
