Spring Fashion Show in East Atlanta Event to Benefit Youth & Community

Atlanta based Community Improvement and Faith based Organizers, Kingdom Ministries of Atlanta has announced the staging of a Spring Fashion Show to support new Youth and Community Development initiatives in East Atlanta. It will take place on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Woodbine Ave, Atlanta. This exclusive event, which will kick off with a 5:00 pm reception and highlight the upcoming season’s most in-demand looks.

This fashion show is a showcase for Independent Local Designers who create couture and finely tailored garments and accessories. In addition to being a unique opportunity for talented fashion designers, the event will host creative makeup artists, trend setting hair stylists, stunning runway models, emerging Youth Models and other industry professionals.

"Being invited to be a part of this fashion event is a good opportunity." Says a local Designer who will be presenting her collection. “This shows provide great exposure and increased sales opportunity for my collection.” She remarked

Executive Producer, Rev. Michael Clay who is also Senior Pastor of Kingdom Ministries of Atlanta and a noted East Atlanta Advocate for Community Improvement said recently, “We are reaching beyond the confines of our Ministry and Outreach Program to create a sustainable environment through events like this one which offers empowering socio-economic and entertainment opportunities.” He also added, “We are thrilled to partner with a number of Businesses in our local area whose leadership in enterprise, fashion and extraordinary generosity make them the ideal collaborators for this event. Fashion lovers will experience a special treat as they are set to spend a stylish evening in East Atlanta. Sumptuous cocktail, music and a special entertainment package will be available.”

Several Merchants including TJ Maxx, one of the lead Sponsors of this event will be on hand to present gift certificates. Other Fashion industry professionals attending include a representative from the Art Institute of Atlanta Fashion Department. Non Profits and other service organizations including The Dukes Foundation, a noted Atlanta Youth Mentoring operation will be on hand to highlight the importance of grooming young men in preparation for academic and career advancement.

The East Atlanta / Candler Park Area is a Arts enclave that includes the Little Five Points Shopping District with brightly colored eclectic fashions that is home to music and other artist of varying genres.

This event will make a positive impact on the City of Atlanta, by engaging residents from a diverse list of communities and persuasions.
