The Wills Lifestyle
India Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2014 became a huge hit among fashion
aficionados. Shows by both veteran and greenhorns have garnered accolades and
successfully managed to create magic through their fash-forward designs.
Though the shows were appreciated, the FDCI observed that
once they got over, they were relegated to the recesses of human memory. So, in
order to bridge that gap, the FDCI has partnered with Xeleron Ventures to
create an online fashion and design repository to introduce the application
called, “Stylestack”. The app aims at targeting buyers, designers and fashion
curators by bringing them on one platform.
The app is of immense value to designers as this provides
them the perfect opportunity to showcase their collection, allowing them the
creative freedom and independence to create a buzz on their own. For the
buyers, it not only acts as a virtual catalogue, but also facilitates effective
communication between the designers and their retail teams. For those seeking
information, this application comes handy, in receiving first-hand information
on the latest trends.
Currently supported by Android OS, this application will
soon be launched on other operating systems including iOS.
Mr. Sunil Sethi, President, Fashion Design Council of India
(FDCI) adds, “The FDCI has been constantly evolving and adapting to changing
technical advancements to improve the overall experience of its fashion events.
We hope this application is another step in making our fashion fraternity more
accessible to fashion admirers.”
