The occasion was graced by the presence of famous ETV
Kannada stars including Nandini Gowda (Teju) of Chitralekha, Siri (Lavvanya) of
Baduku, Pallavi (Pragnya) of Galipata, Kavya (Deepa) of Charanadasi, Vanishree
(Shashirekha) of Amma Ninagaagi, Ranjini (Gauri) of Puttagowri Maduve, Kavita
(Lacchi) of Lakshmi Baaramma, Vijay (Siddarth) of Agnisaakshi, Anupama Gowda
(Bhoomika) of Akka, Naveen Madhav (Sripada) of Chitte Hejje, Ashwini Gowda
(Madhavi) of Mahaparva, Mayuri (Ashwini) of Ashwini Nakshatra and Master Anand
(Vicky) of Robo Family, along with host RJ Shruti of Big FM amongst others.
Commenting on the
launch of the award show, Mr. Jaideep Singh, Sr. Vice President and Business
Head – INS, Viacom18 Pvt. Ltd. said, “The regional cluster is a vital segment
in entertainment. We have observed
substantial growth and expansion in the metros and mini metros. ETV Kannada
with its innovative shows such as MTS Dancing Stars and Bhima Bigg Boss, has
brought in newer and younger audiences to the regional television medium. By
introducing an award ceremony such as the ETV Anubandha Awards, we not only aim
to create an on ground entertainment experience for our viewers but also give
them a chance to vote for some of their favourite shows and its talent.”
Each of the ETV family members will take time off their
shoot and cast votes for each other. In an equally unique nomination process,
ETV Kannada has chosen family members from all the serials of the year 2013 as
nominees across various categories such as ‘Favourite Son’ and ‘Favourite
Daughter in law’ amongst others. With a grand buildup such as this, the main
show will be no different, in fact it will only take the entertainment level a
notch higher with performances and appearances by ETV Kannada Family members
and Film Celebrities.
