‘FASHIONOVA’, one of the biggest fashion extravaganza of the
year is just a day is all set to rock the modern fashionistas of the country
and the show will be inagurated by ace fashion designer Jatin Kochhar. Just one
day is left to the show and all the 52 designers taking part in the event looks
highly excited to present their collections during the show to be held on May
24 at the Ambedkar Sabhagar, RML University, LDA colony, Lucknow.
In addition to the fashion show, the day will be even
special for the final years student as the institute will also organize the
fourth Convocation of NIFT, Raebareli, which will be honoured by the presence of His Highness Dr. Aziz Kuresdhi, the Hon'ble,
Governor of Uttarakhand. Mr. Bharat Shah, Director NIFT,Rae Bareli, chieftains of industry along with other distinguished delegates
and the faculty would be present on this momentous occasion.
52 fourth batch designers (including 26 Fashion Designers
and 26 Accessory Designers) will showcase their creative talent as budding
designer and embody their thinking and skills to show the world their potential.
A design display wherein the accessory design students will showcase their
products such as jewellery, bags, home décor products that will take you back
and forth in time. This will be followed by a Fashion show wherein the final
year fashion design “to be graduates” will reveal how a pair of scissors,
thread and needle can transform the world.
FASHIONOVA promises to be a colourful evening filled with
glitz and glamour, where NIFT Raebareli would
be presenting their fourth Design Showcase and Fashionova. The students presented their design
collections at ‘Fashionova’, an exquisite fashion show exhibiting the
creativity and skills of the students of National Institute of Fashion
Technology (NIFT).Inspired by the hues and shades of the season, the new
collection of the students adorns the innovative interlace designs with
vivacious colours. The pull of the show would be a collection derived from the
concept of bags, another collection deals with the currently vanishing crafts
of India and a collection dealing with the futuristic post apocalyptic
clothing. Some other prominient collection include a desk to dinner convertible
clothing range, a collection inspired from British military clothing and a
collection inspired by the dance costumes of 2 states. The Fashion and
Lifestyle Design Department would also exhibit the collection of products and
accessories designed by them during their graduation project in the industry,
in different fields of interests like Home Decor, Product Designing, leather
bags, Jewellery,Furnitures etc. The graduating students would showcase their
design exploration and commitment towards work and design liability during
their project in the industry.
The graduating show would be inaugurated by Mr. Jattinn Kochhar and also graced by various
other prominent personalities from the world
of fashion and industry. The show would end with the distribution of
various awards to the deserving students.
