Delhi's 1st Secret lounge and bar opens with sparkling Fashion Show

National Highway-8 becomes the new party hub for fashionistas and party-goers, as India found its 1st and only secret lounge and bar, Dee Key, with the biggest Page 3 get-together of the season.

The launch party began with a fashion show by designers Harish K. Vashist, Ashfaque Ahmad and Prerna Jha, succeeded by a live performance by popular youth band Recreating Nirvana, followed by an after-party till dawn. The party saw a huge gathering of socialites, models and popular faces of the fashion fraternity.

Influenced by the West, the trend of becoming part of exclusive secret societies seems to have hit India with the launch of the new club on NH-8. The club is only accessible to those who are able to decipher all the clues and uncover its whereabouts, upon which they are given an exclusive ‘key’ to unlock the door, which also becomes their ticket to entry into the lounge.

The staff distributed free keys to all guests of the launch party, giving them exclusive access to the club anytime of the day. Mr. Aman Chowdhry, General Manager, Dee Marks Hotel & Resorts, says, “With the constant upsurge of the party culture in NCR, everyone seems to be looking for something new. That is exactly what the lounge is offering the party-goers – fresh theme and fresh concept with a pinch of excitement. The ‘key’ to thorough satisfaction of the guests here is the exclusivity that comes with the key they are gifted, along with absolute service and entertainment”.

Fashion Designer, Prerna Jha who travelled all the way to Delhi to showcase her designs at the fashion show, said, “My collection was designed keeping in mind the massive demand of ‘modern ethnic wear’ in the Indian market nowadays. I experimented with bright colors like neon, fluorescent etc to give the entire collection a fresh and vibrant feel just like the exciting feel of this lounge. Experimenting and introducing new concepts is important, be it in designs or entertainment.”

The launch party saw a number of popular Page 3 patrons such as Meenakshi Dutt with husband Umesh Dutt along with Fashion Designers and choreographers.
