Gopa Kumar
& Shalini Vig Wadhwa of Renge Art curated My True Calling, a group art show
by emerging artists at Club Aralias, DLF Golf & Country Club, Gurgaon.
The artists
used various mediums and palette of colours and created magnificent and true to
life artworks. My True Calling, as the
name reflected, the paintings were expressing the innermost feelings of the
artists.
Also, were
on display were Singer Anamika Grover’s inherited collection of intricate Pichhwai
paintings. Pichhwai paintings
portray Lord Krishna in different moods, body postures, and attire. It is a
very ancient form of art passed on from generation to generation and it has a
very devotional theme towards Lord Krishna, said Annamika who’s inherited them
from her ancestors.
The guests
were seen appreciating the artwork over wine and cheese. Among the guests
present were Singer Annamika Grover, Artist
Gauri Sawhney, Priyendra Shukla, Hair Styist Sylvie, Dermatologist Dr.
Amit & Arati bhasin, Designers Shivani Singh, Jewellery Designer Dolly Oberoi,
Shalini Kochhar, Socialite Monica Barara, etc
