Akshay Kumar to do Raavan Wadh for the 1st time at Lal Qilla this Dussera

This is for the First Time a Bollywood Actor has been Invited for India's biggest Ram Leela Celebration in Delhi.

Bollywood Superstar Akshay Kumar who will next be seen in upcoming action caper ‘BOSS’ has received a special Invite from the organizers of Luv-Kush Ram Leela Committee.

The Luv-Kush Ram Leela is one of the biggest Ram Leela which takes place at Lal Qilla (Delhi) every year, and has witnessed only political big-wigs Prime Minister, Chief Minister so far!

But for the very first time the committee has approached a Bollywood Actor to do the honors of burning the Raavan down, as Akshay even belongs to Chandni Chowk it would apt to have the actor burn the Raavan down. No other actor has ever been part of this celebration and it is a moment of pride for Akshay to be a part of this festive celebration where good takes over evil!

When asked Akshay Kumar about this he said, " It is an honor to be a part of such a momentous occasion. I thank the organisers for inviting me. Delhi holds a special place in my heart since I grew up there. It will be indeed special to do the Raavan Vadh there."

Dusshera is marked on the 10th day of the Navratri celebrations in India where Lord Ram kills Raavan and also known as Raavan Wadh!

A source on condition of anonymity confirmed the news and said, “Akshay is very honored to be part of one of India's biggest and most loved traditions and has accepted the invitation. Though he has been busy promoting his upcoming film BOSS he has specially taken time out and will be present in Delhi on the day of Dussera for Raavan Wadh”

BOSS is all set to hit the theatres on 16th October!!
