Men's Fashion Week arrives in Toronto

Modern Man announced the premiere of Men's Fashion Week in Toronto, which includes an all-star lineup of high profile shows and see-and-be-seen evening events from November 4–6, 2013. It will be the city’s first men's fashion week and will set a industry precedent. For the first time ever, the public will finally get the opportunity to get tickets to attend the fashion industry’s most exclusive runway shows featuring their latest collections.

Modern Man will transform Fashion District’s UNIUN nightclub into the destination location for trend savvy, sophisticated, fashion enthusiasts with its LED-light installations, top-of-the-line sound system, and the industrial appeal of the original space. Modern Man is where brands will offer a one-of-a-kind experience to meet, connect and engage with consumers.

Men’s Fashion Week will feature Ted Baker London, Calvin Klein Underwear, Tiger of Sweden, L Chateau, Christopher Bates, Roots Canada, and Porsche Design. Guests will be in fashion heaven as they spend a stylish evening in Toronto soaking up the latest in fashion design, along with delicious appetizers and h'orderves while enjoying the ultra-modern vibes with antique-inspired decor. Guests will also get to exclusively shop major and independent brands in one uber hip spot. Showing the clothes on the runway is fantastic, but local designers and retailers also need an opportunity to sell them.

All pop-up shops in Modern Man are just steps away from the runway show. Demand to purchase fashions and products for men has led to the decision to launch temporary pop-up shops, all under one roof.
Modern Man is proud to support Movember by taking to the runway, inspiring change, and motivating others to join the good fight. During November, the month known as Movember, men start clean-shaven and groom and grow their Mo's (Australian slang for moustache) for thirty days to raise funds and awareness for cancers affecting men.

In Canada, funds raised support specifically male mental health and prostate cancer, the most common cancer to affect Canadian men. Mankind Grooming Studio, Toronto’s award-winning barbershop, will also be joining the cause offering free straight razor shaves to guests at the event to kickstart Movember. For every ticket purchased, $5 will be donated to Movember.
