Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2014 has partnered with the
absolute biggest names in digital media, enhancing & amplifying fashion
experience in a way that’s never been done before.
These digital platforms will allow their vast body of
followers to closely participate and interact on a global stage during the
event. LFW SR 2014 will span over five
days featuring 46 shows and 102 designers thus bringing about a digital
evolution in the fashion space.
With a social media community that has more than 1 million
fans and followers across 96 countries, LFW appeals to consumers and fashion
enthusiasts worldwide. Street Style is a key trend emerging from the fashion
weeks across the world and Lakmé Fashion Week will drive this trend through,
via these digital mediums.
Below is the details on these digital partnerships:
Shoppable
Hangout: Google in association with Jabong will conduct a shoppable hangout.
This will have the dresses/accessories showcased live on the LFW Google Plus
page as the models are coming out on the runway, hosted by Miss Malini. Users
can click on the displayed dress/accessory, and be redirected to Jabong’s
ecommerce platform for LFW. Viewers can shop via the Jabong ecommerce platform.
Live
Streaming: This season YouTube continues as LFW’s live broadcast partner to
provide a front row experience to the entire world in the LFW endeavour in
‘Democratizing the Indian fashion’. This time there will also be 4 camera set
up and live commentary by key bloggers in few shows that will enhance the
viewing experience.
Street Style
Photos: An online #styleselfie competition will include fans take a selfie,
uploading it with the hashtag to LFW Google Plus page, which will then
automatically redirect to a microsite google.com/Lakméfashionweek and will look
like a photography wall with 100’s of pictures. The winner gets designer
outfits, access to the shows and a camera.
Twitter: Twitter is collaborating with LFW to bring
a unique concept to capture all the celebs at fashion week. Twitter brings to
LFW “The Mirror”, an iPad that will capture all the action from the Red Carpet
and live tweet it to all LFW followers on Twitter. A fully dedicated screen
within MSA will also display the tweets; post the shows, on Lakmé Fashion Week
twitter.
