Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2014 to Engage Fashion Connoisseurs Online

As the Wills India Fashion Week celebrates Indian design in its purest form, the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) has always opted for an innovation-driven approach, which facilitates effective tools that reach out to fashion curators. This year, the FDCI will establish a two-way communication between spectators and front runners of the fashion circuit.

WIFW Summer-Spring 14’s initiative encompasses a wider range of social media, leaving no stone unturned. This season, the FDCI’s digital communication strategy brings a new podium, Instagram on board, which as its name suggests, is quick and dexterous.

Synchronizing Instagram with Facebook and Twitter via a custom-built application, the FDCI is set to provide a spontaneous reporting of the event directly from the venue itself. The idea is to translate this on-hand experience into a virtual treat, to bring this extravaganza closer to fashion aficionados.

In addition to this, the Wills Lifestyle has taken the virtual experience a notch higher by incorporating the real time capsuling of runway shows into an exciting retail experience. Through broadcasts across 50 Wills Lifestyle Stores, there will be a live telecasting of shows as this will provide a seamless access to style lovers.
Excited about the new digital communication initiative Mr. Sunil Sethi, President, Fashion Design Council of India added, “We are optimistic that this initiative will help bridge the gap between the event and the audience encouraging an ingenious amalgamation of different demographics.”
