Pallavi Sharda turns tribal "Rajputani" for designer Samant Chauhan at WIFW SS 2014 Day 2

Dressed in backless gown with a blend of numerous feather motifs, ‘Besharam’ fame actress Pallavi Sharda looked awesome in her new avatar of  a tribal "Rajputani" for designer Samant Chauhan, whe she walked the ramp as a showstopper at the ongoing Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) Spring/Summer 2014.

Like each year designer Samant Chauhan presented his  unique and unfold story of RAJPUTAN. This time's collection was inspired rajputana tribes at the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Spring/Summer Collection 2014. A tribe which had furnished warriors , or was politically dominant in a particular region can justly call itself a RAJPUTANA TRIBE.

The collection RAJPUTAN TRIBS speaked volumes for a very contemporary Indian market that yearns for a change from the usual brighter tones. The hand-woven fabrics were the golden zari warped silk and kora cotton-silk fused and textured to offer an inconceivable appeal. This year we introduce patchwork in our collection along with zardozi hand- embroideries and lot of tribe element like father, beads, lion skulk motif etc.

SAMANT CHAUHAN’s line remains simple, basic, clean-cut, natural and functional, yet contemporary and he loves working with natural fibers. Fashion to him is not just a popular trend, but a very basic form of representation that is always conceptual. He strongly believes in exploring his native Bhagalpur skill working with the weavers in innovating new fabrics and newer designs. His patent colors remain very earthy – the shades relating to nature. The label, ‘SAMANT CHAUHAN’ has come a long way selling at several high-profile stores globally.
