AND revived the 70’s era with its fashionable debut at Lakme Fashion Week

Day 3 of Lakmé Fashion Week showcased an all new side of the AND woman, perfectly embodying the modern, independent working woman. With a blast from the past, AND whipped out its range of stylish contemporary outfits at its debut at Lakme Fashion Week.

The celebrity studded front row had Sangeeta Bijlani, Gul Panag, Sanjay and Ambika Suri, Namrata Shroff and Nishka Lulla amongst others.

Breaking the myth of “all work and no play” AND’s collection can easily transform from a “day at work” look to a “night about town” look! Flattering cuts and designs combined with uninhibited versatility, the new collection effortlessly transforms from a classic work-wear look to a glamorous evening ensemble. AND provides you with a retro chic ensemble that captures the mood and imagination of the woman for all seasons!

Talking about AND’s latest Winter Festive collection being showcased at Lakme Fashion Week, Anita Dongre, Creative Director, AND, says, “It was a great experience to be showcasing the AND collection at Lakme Fashion Week, and what better way to mark our debut than with revisiting the boldness of the 70’s coupled with the subtlety of today. It’s heartening to see the response of the audience and the love they have for AND”

Bold colours, high waisted trousers, jeggings, skater dresses and playsuits a de rigeur for the 70’s, there was a look to suit everyone’s sartorial taste on the ramp. The femmes fatales sashaying to live retro music brought alive the era associated with decadent style, Studio 54 and Disco. It was the 70’s that saw women as the original fashion risk-takers with the likes of Bianca Jagger, Cheryl Tiegs and Jane Fonda going vavavoom which the AND woman depicted at its ramp debut.
